Our projects and reports

This report provides a summary of the key work areas of Healthwatch North Tyneside and the issues residents have raised with us between April 2022 and February 2023. This will be presented at North Tyneside’s Health and Wellbeing Board on 9 March as the January meeting was postponed. It is an updated version of the previous report from January 2023, which covered up until December 2022 and now includes key emerging themes from our recent annual survey 2022/23.

This report provides a summary of what people have told us over the last six months including updates on our Community Mental Health Transformation and Health Inequalities projects. As well as summarising the key findings from our recent engagement activity about breast screening. The report has been shared with North Tyneside’s Health and Wellbeing Board.

Healthwatch North Tyneside was asked by North Tyneside’s Health and Wellbeing Board to gather voluntary sector and service user feedback to influence the local Health inequalities work associated with North Tyneside’s Equally Well Strategy and implementation plan. The aim was to hear the views of the voluntary and community sector in North Tyneside and the people they work with.

Women’s health is an area Healthwatch North Tyneside is focusing on this year. After hearing that the uptake of breast screening services available to people in North Tyneside were lower this year than expected, we wanted to better understand people’s experiences of North Tyneside breast screening programme to see if anything could be improved.
