Local Healthwatch in the North East and North Cumbria
Local Healthwatch are the independent champion for residents using health and social care services. We talk to users of local health and social care services to hear about experiences, identify what’s working well and what could be done better, so that services can improve. We work with decision makers and providers of health and care services to make their services better for everyone.
There is a local Healthwatch in each local authority area in the country, that’s one in each of the 14 local authority areas of the North East and North Cumbria. The creation of the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) means it is more important than ever that local Healthwatch work together on issues that have an impact across the region whilst staying connected to our local communities.
