Emergency care
In 2015 we heard that in North Tyneside nearly 1 in every 8 visits to A&E resulted in no treatment or significant investigation being given. This was highest in young children under 4 years old. Children also used the walk-in service more than other groups.
We talked to families with young children about what they needed from urgent health care.
