Alzheimers Awareness Month

World Alzheimer’s Month

September 11, 2026

September is World Alzheimer’s Month, an international campaign to raise awareness of dementia and challenge any stigma surrounding the condition.

This year’s theme is ‘The Earlier You Know, The More You Can Do: A Dementia Diagnosis Matters’.

World Alzheimer’s Day takes place during the month on Monday 21 September.

If you or someone you care for has questions about dementia, you can call Dementia UK’s Helpline on 0800 888 6678 or visit the Dementia UK website to find out what support is available.

Maybe you could become a Dementia Friend and help support people affected by the condition.

If you would like to share your experiences of health and care services as a person living with dementia or caring for someone with dementia, please get in touch.
