Understanding people’s experiences of the new Front Door Service at NSECH

We want to understand people’s experiences of a new approach assessing people who walk into the Emergency Department at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington.

The new Front Door Service is used at some points during the week to identify the treatment needs of people arriving and how best to meet these needs.

Healthwatch North Tyneside and Healthwatch Northumberland are working with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to obtain feedback from users of the new service.

The Trust will send information to patients who have used the Front Door Service. These patients will be invited to participate in a survey about their experiences and possible follow up interviews, both conducted by the teams at Healthwatch North Tyneside and Healthwatch Northumberland.

The information will be used by the Trust as part of its evaluation of these new approaches.
