Update from our Community Mental Health Transformation Project
Mel Bramley, Healthwatch North Tyneside Co-production and Insight Officer, and Mish Lorraine, Development Worker at Launchpad North Tyneside, recently completed the first update report for the Community Mental Health Transformation project.
The views gathered so far are from people who use, or have used, mental health services over the last 2 years, or are a carer for an adult who accesses mental health services in North Tyneside. Funding has been secured for a crisis café service for North Tyneside, to proceed in a relatively short space of time and this is the main focus of this first report Full MH Update Report. Participants in the survey, interviews and focus groups were asked for their views on this and gave their thoughts on a number of considerations including opening times and location.
The development of a crisis café service in North Tyneside is a collaboration between NHS providers, North Tyneside Council and other statutory and voluntary organisations; there have been weekly meetings to develop the service locally.
