Eating Disorder Awareness Week Community Engagement at The Forum Market, Wallsend
The Healthwatch North Tyneside community engagement team will be at The Forum Market, Wallsend on 28 February from 12.30pm until 3pm. This is an open session for the general public, no booking needed, just walk in on the day.
Our friendly engagement team are looking forward to meeting everyone to listen to your health and social care experiences and views, hear your health and care queries and to signpost you to relevant services. We will also be raising awareness of Eating Disorders as part of #EatingDisorderAwarenessWeek2024
This year the theme of Eating Disorder Awareness Week is ARFID, which stands for avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, a largely unknown and misunderstood eating disorder. We will be listening to your feedback on any eating disorder services you, or someone you care for, has used, signpost you to local and national support and treatment services and hear any questions or concerns you may have about eating disorders and eating distress support services. (Please note that Healthwatch are not able to provide support ourselves, we can offer information and signposting only.)
Find out more about the venue here.
If for unforeseen circumstances we cannot attend we will do our best to update this page, however due to timescales that won’t always be possible. You can always access our information and signposting service here, have your say here or contact us directly here.
