Judy Scott retires from our Board of Trustees

Our longstanding Trustee Judy Scott, stepped down from our board over summer to take up a new expert experience role at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust. Judy first joined Healthwatch North Tyneside as a volunteer in April 2015 and became a trustee in May 2016, including two stints as chair of the organisation.

Judy will continue to volunteer with Healthwatch North Tyneside as part of our team of volunteer researchers.

Judy said “I will really miss helping to steer Healthwatch North Tyneside to continue its work as a well respected, independent voice for the people of North Tyneside. I began as a volunteer doing research into our local Care Homes and for 8 years have been on the Board and have really enjoyed working with our great staff team, our interesting volunteers and impressive trustees.”

Judy has played a pivotal role in our research into GP and primary care access, care homes, experiences of hospital services and support for carers in North Tyneside.
