Read our updated Healthwatch North Tyneside Insight Report (March 2023)

This updated insight report provides a summary of the key work areas of Healthwatch North Tyneside and the issues residents have raised with us between April 2022 and February 2023. This will be presented at North Tyneside’s Health and Wellbeing Board on 9 March as the January meeting was postponed.

It is an updated version of the previous report from January 2023, which covered up until December 2022 and now includes key emerging themes from our recent annual survey 2022/23. Initial analysis of the data collected so far indicates:

• Quality of care is high
• Delays and cancelations are an issue
• Waiting times are a real concern for some specialism and services
• Sense that services are getting worse
• Some people are paying for private treatment because of delays
• Cost of living crisis impacting on health and wellbeing
• Transport continues to be a concern for many
