Find Warm Welcome venues across North Tyneside, extending support and offering a warm comfortable space

You can find Warm Welcome venues across the borough, including North Tyneside Council’s Customer First Centres and libraries, as well as community and voluntary sector organisations, extending their support to residents by offering a warm comfortable space to relax. 

Find your nearest Warm Welcome venues on the North Tyneside Council interactive map. When you open this map click where it says ‘Warm Welcome Venues’ to select the days to see which venue is open on selected day.

The Wallsend Customer First Centre, (The Forum, Wallsend NE28 8JR) where Healthwatch North Tyneside are based, is included in these Warm Welcome venues. Everyone is welcome to use the core library offer at any time during opening hours. This includes free books, magazines and newspapers, free use of PCs and Wi-Fi, comfortable chairs and study tables, board games and puzzles, baby friendly facilities such as highchairs, bottle warmers and toys. Free hot drinks are available 10am – 12.30pm 

The rising cost of living, through increasing energy, food and fuel costs, is affecting many of us. This includes help for families and individuals, whether you’re working or not.

Equally Well

People vulnerable to poverty and social exclusion are key targets of the Warm Welcome programme and continuing this work, Healthwatch North Tyneside was asked by North Tyneside’s Health and Wellbeing Board to gather voluntary sector and service user feedback to influence the local Health inequalities work associated with North Tyneside’s Equally Well Strategy and implementation plan. The aim was to hear the views of the voluntary and community sector in North Tyneside and the people they work with. We will be sharing the extensive report of our findings very soon.
