This report focuses on Livi, a digital app that lets patients book appointments and see a GP by video, using a tablet or mobile phone.
Healthwatch North Tyneside has been hearing from residents about their views of getting access to primary care in the borough, including people’s recent experiences and views about how services could be shaped in the future. This is our first published report based on the information we have gathered.
This report focuses on Livi, a digital app that lets patients book appointments and see a GP by video, using a tablet or mobile phone.
North Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) commissioned a 12-month pilot of Livi to deliver additional appointments for people registered with GP practices in North Tyneside. The CCG asked us to gather people’s views about Livi, particularly those who have used it.
The content of this report has been shared with the CCG and the Livi Evaluation Steering Group before publication and will feed into the CCG’s evaluation of Livi services.
In this report, we are presenting the views we have heard. We are not making recommendations. Part 1 details the research and findings of our engagement with users of Livi and there are a small number of suggested actions for future service delivery. Part 2 includes the feedback and comments we received about Livi in our wider evidence gathering about GP access.
We will be publishing further reports into other areas of our GP access research once our analysis has been completed.
You can read the CCG’s own pilot evaluation report here.
