Healthwatch North Tyneside are an independent charity that helps make local health and care services better for you. We do this by finding out how you are experiencing these services and ultimately feeding this back to the people delivering and commissioning the services so as to influence positive change based upon what we have been told.

North Tyneside Council have asked Healthwatch to undertake a survey looking at how care home residents, their families, and people working in care homes, experienced the pandemic.

We want to understand what it has been like for people. We know that care homes had to change how they operated, and we want to know what worked well and what could have been done better, so that care providers can be better prepared for any future pandemics.

We have prepared a short online survey that can be accessed via the new link here. The anonymous survey will take around 10 minutes to complete and at the end, you can indicate that you would like to have a telephone conversation to discuss things further. You can also choose to enter our prize draw for a £50 Love to Shop voucher.

If you want to know more about or have any queries or questions about the survey, please contact project lead, Lyndsay Yarde, via email: l.yarde@hwnt.co.uk or phone our office on 0191 263 5321.
